Greg Byrne
Born to two teachers (one of whom was also a writer), Greg has loved words, languages, stories and the smell of books for as long as he can remember, and is grateful that he can combine these passions with his other great love, teaching.
Greg has been writing stories since he knew what crayons were for. Nine Planets was his first published novel, and he is currently working on the Calbannin series as well as a non-fiction book called If This Is True. He has also completed but not yet published A Thrill of Hope, a Christmas play.
He has also taught in both primary and high schools as well as university and adult English schools, and is currently teaching economics, English and the social sciences at a Perth high school.
He also loves travelling, and has visited India, Singapore, Indonesia, the USA (five times), Japan (18 times!) the Philippines and England, and he welcomes your offers to visit your country as well.
With Gramatica, Greg has presented at conferences around the world: Perth, Brisbane, New Orleans (twice), Melbourne, the Philippines, and Cambridge.

In his free time, he loves getting into his garden, reading, his family and travelling.
